My journey with the Lord has been one of transformation, discipline, and surrender. There was a time when I tried to control everything: my plans, my timing, and my desires. But I came to realise that true peace and progress only came when I fully submitted my life to Jesus. Choosing to follow Him required intentional discipline: being consistent in prayer, staying in the Word, and denying distractions that pulled me away from His purpose.
As I began to place my desires into God’s hands, I noticed a shift. Things that once felt forced started to flow naturally. Doors opened at the right time, opportunities aligned without stress, and situations that could have caused confusion instead worked out with clarity. It wasn’t that challenges disappeared, but I carried a confidence, knowing God was ordering my steps.
What amazed me most was how everything came together “just in time.” Not early, not late, but exactly when it needed to. In those moments, I understood that God’s timing is perfect and far greater than anything I could plan myself. My role was simply to trust, remain obedient, and stay disciplined in my walk.
Through this process, I’ve seen how surrender doesn’t mean loss; it means acceleration in the right direction. God refined my character, strengthened my faith, and aligned my life with His will. Now I can confidently say that when you truly give God control, He makes all things work together for your good, smoothly and with purpose.
