I Faced My Inner Storm

I am grateful that I have been planted in the house of God, under the covering and care of my pastor and elder. These past six years have been a season of continuous growth—years of planting, watering, and steady development in God.

But I also recognise that my growth did not come through ease or comfort. It came through seasons of hurt, pain, and discomfort. Yet even in those difficult places, God was at work. What felt like pressure was often preparation. What felt like breaking was often building.

Looking back, I can see that I was being rooted more deeply, established more firmly, and drawn closer to Christ in ways that comfort alone could not produce. The very seasons I would have chosen to avoid became the seasons that shaped me the most.

I am learning that being planted does not mean the absence of challenge, but the presence of purpose in every season. And in that, I remain thankful—still planted, still growing, still becoming.
