Vision to Action

The title says it all—Vision to Action is a straightforward yet powerful call to purposeful living. The opening line sets the tone immediately: the most tragic thing in life is not death, but living without vision. That statement alone forces you to reflect on whether you’re truly living intentionally or just existing.

Leroy writes with a simplicity that makes the message accessible, but don’t mistake that for lack of depth. He draws on clear biblical foundations, using figures like Abraham, Moses, and Elijah to show how vision is not just something given—it’s something lived, tested, and fulfilled over time.

Chapter 2, Personalising the Vision, stands out as the heart of the book. Leroy highlights a real struggle many people face: it’s not that God hasn’t given a vision, but that we struggle to see ourselves in it. That idea hits deeply. It speaks to issues of doubt, identity, and confidence. Sometimes the barrier isn’t clarity from God—it’s our own inability to believe we are capable, worthy, or prepared.

In the second part of the book, Leroy moves from inspiration to instruction. He breaks down what it actually takes to step into your vision—starting where you are, taking that first step even when things aren’t perfect, and preparing for opposition. He doesn’t sugarcoat the journey; he makes it clear that vision attracts resistance. But rather than discouraging the reader, he equips you with the mindset to persevere.

This book is excellent if you need encouragement to get moving. It doesn’t overwhelm you with complexity—it gives you clarity, direction, and the push to act. It’s the kind of book you can read quickly, but its message will stay with you long after.

I would recommend this book if you’re looking for something simple, easy to read, yet impactful. It’s ideal for young men finding their path, middle-aged men reassessing their direction, and mature men refining their purpose.

If you’re struggling with being—or even knowing—your vision, this book is a great place to start. It will challenge you, encourage you, and most importantly, move you from thinking to doing.
